2021 Virtual Recruitment Fair (May 25 to May 28, 2021)

Career Fair overview

In conjunction with several federal government departments and agencies, the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) led this opportunity to promote hiring from the Employment Equity groups (Women, Aboriginal Peoples,Footnotes1 Visible Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities) into entry-level jobs across Canada, with an aim to continue to enhance the diversity of the federal public service. The recruitment fair took place from May 25 to May 28, 2021.

Highlights

The recruitment fair provided an opportunity to showcase participants' talents to hiring managers in the form of a three-minute Speed Bio. Hiring managers were able to hear about candidates' various studies, previous work experiences, interests, and career aspirations.

The event began with opening remarks from Taki Sarantakis, President of the Canada School of Public Service, and other senior government officials from participating departments and agencies.

This was the first virtual career fair hosted by the CSPS. It was a successful partnership with several departments and agencies, where hundreds of participants were welcomed!

Based on feedback, we know that departments were able to discover talented candidates from across Canada, and participants enjoyed learning about career possibilities in the public service.
