The way we work has changed, almost overnight. Service delivery, work tools and leadership styles have all been transformed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing everyone everywhere to adapt to new work and social realities. Now, to support their teams, managers must be even more available, empathetic and committed to offering their employees opportunities to reflect on their sense of purpose and inclusion, while at the same time sustaining their own well-being.
This annual event offers an opportunity for managers from across the public service to explore the impact that they have within their organization and what they need to thrive in their unique role. The theme for this year's event is "Managing in our Changing Work Reality" and offers a three-day learning journey where participants will be exposed to inspiring insights from keynote speakers, departmental influencers, innovative thinkers, and other invited guests.
Additional sub-themes for this year's symposium include: thriving in the hybrid workplace; advancing the Call to Action while nourishing diversity and wellbeing; and recruiting, retaining and developing new and existing talent.
