Making It Our Business to Support Employees Dealing with Domestic Violence

Description

The impacts of domestic violence in the workplace are wide-ranging. They can include actual incidents of violence at work, as well as the impacts on team performance and on the well-being of the employee who is experiencing domestic violence at home.

In partnership with the Gender-Based Violence Knowledge Centre at Women and Gender Equality Canada, the Canada School of Public Service is hosting a panel discussion for all public servants on the issue of domestic violence in the workplace. Experts in the field will outline the responsibilities of managers and discuss ways to recognize and support someone who is experiencing domestic violence. Specific topics of discussion will include the amendments to Part II of the Canada Labour Code and the new regulations that address the specific responsibilities of public servants. Participants will also learn about best practices and the external resources available.

Join us for this important event. A live Q&A will follow the panel discussion.
