EvalConnex: Federal Evaluators Community Professional Series 2017
Types of Evaluation: Innovation and Delivery
The 2016 Policy on Results introduced more flexibility in planning and conducting evaluations. This has allowed departments to increasingly employ different types of evaluation, taking into consideration the risks and complexity of the initiative or program being evaluated.
Through practical examples, this session will explore two types of evaluation: Innovation and delivery. The session will focus on three key questions: When does it make sense to use one of these types of evaluation? What are their advantages and limitations? What lessons learned can be shared with the community of evaluators?
Event Information
This interactive learning activity is designed for the Community of Federal Evaluators, including evaluation managers and heads of evaluation. However, this session is open to all public servants with an interest in program evaluation.
