National Student Paper Competition on the Future of the Public Service

Launched in 2013, the first edition of the National Student Paper Competition on the Future of the Public Service focused on ideas and research related to the Blueprint 2020 vision. Since then, the competition has continued inviting master's and PhD students to submit their ideas for improving the federal public service and Canada's future.

Public Servant-in-Residence Initiative

The Public Servant-in-Residence Initiative (PSIR) places mid-career public servants in Canadian universities to conduct research and/or teach in areas linked to departmental objectives and broader Federal Public Service priorities. These assignments may be undertaken on either a full- or part-time basis and require an Interchange Canada Agreement.
